This bed is an example of my fondness for things Asian. The legs represent animal legs and are synonymous with furniture of the Ming dynasty, the golden age of Chinese furniture, roughly 1350 to 1650 CE. A characteristic of this furniture is its complicated, puzzle-like joinery.
